About us

Every report deserves a plain answer.

ScanSays is an independent health-tech company. We turn the medical report you already have into plain words and a 3D picture, so you can understand it and talk to your doctor with confidence.

It started with a folded page and a question nobody was there to answer: “Is this bad?”

Every day, people leave clinics holding ultrasound, MRI, CT and X-ray reports written for other doctors. The words are precise and the numbers matter, but to the person they're about, a line like “6 mm calculus in the lower pole” can feel like a riddle.

So they search online, wait days for a follow-up, or ask a relative who once studied biology. Many walk into their next appointment more anxious than informed.

ScanSays exists to close that gap. You photograph your report. We read every line, explain it in plain words in your language, and show each finding where it sits in the body, at the size the report gives. The report's own words always stay beside our explanation, so you can check everything yourself.

What we believe

Four rules we build by.

Explain, never diagnose

We illustrate what a doctor already wrote. We don't read scan images, make predictions or give medical advice. Decisions about your care stay with your doctor.

Show our working

The original report text is always one tap away. Anything we're unsure of, like a handwritten number, waits for you to confirm before we draw it.

Speak the patient's language

Nine languages at launch, written from reviewed sentence templates so the same finding always reads the same way.

Treat health data with care

Reports are encrypted, kept only as long as you want them, and deleted when you ask. We never sell personal data.

Where we are

Getting ready to open the doors.

ScanSays is preparing to launch on the web, iPhone and Android. The first release covers the everyday scans people actually get: abdomen and kidneys, prostate, chest X-ray, thyroid, pelvis and pregnancy. Later, the same 3D view will help doctors walk patients through their results in the consultation room.
